Trumpeter Military Models 1/72 Israeli Merkava Mk III Baz Main Battle Tank Kit
The Merkava is a main battle tank used by the Israel Defense Forces. The tank began development in 1973 and entered active service in 1978. Four main versions of the tank have been deployed. It was first used extensively in the 1982 Lebanon War. The "Merkava" name was derived from the IDF's initial development program name.
- Raised and engraved exterior features, lower hull with separate suspension arms, single-piece injection-molded track loop with integral outboard wheels and sprockets and individual inside wheels and sprockets, upper hull with integral side skirts, turret with molded-on applique armor, delicate turret bustle, rear hull bins, coaxial M2 machine gun, roof-mounted 7.62mm machine guns (x2) and adjustable elevation main gun.
