The Lancia Stratos is one of the most iconic cars in the history of motorsport and was designed with the specific purpose of winning the rally competitions of the period. Intended to replace the equally famous Lancia Fulvia HF, it made its debut in the early 1970s. Characterized by a modern and extremely attractive design, with a low and very aggressive body designed by Bertone, the Lancia Stratos was equipped with a 2,400 cc V6 engine, derived from the Ferrari Dino, producing 250 HP. The combination of the powerful six-cylinder engine and the innovative lightweight and compact chassis was the basis for the birth of a car that changed the history of off-road competitions. The first successes came on its debut in 1973, and were consolidated, thanks also to legendary drivers, with the victory in three consecutive world manufacturers' championships during the 1970s.
