AFV Club Military 1/35 SdKfz 164 Nashorn Tank Kit
Highly detailed kit of the Sd.Kfz. 164 Nashorn("Rhinoceros"), a World War II era tank destroyer fielded by Germany. Initially known as Hornisse ("Hornet"), the Sd.Kfz. 164 was developed for the German Wehrmacht as an interim solution to counter the more advanced Russian T-34 and KV tanks. The Nashorn was developed by combining the proven and reliable Panzer III & IV chassis and the deadly 88 mm PaK 43/1 anti-tank gun. Although lightly armored compared to the later heavy Jagdpanther and Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyers, the Nashorn's ability to destroy even the most heavily armored Allied tanks at long distances made it one of most effective anti-tank guns deployed during the war. The Nashorn remained in service till the end of the War. This AFV Club Models 1/35 scale assembly kit features: Workable suspensions. Precisely replicates road wheel axles. Realistically recreated fighting compartment with armor plates in scaled thickness. Highly detailed ammo storage. Structure of Pak 43 is finely recreated. Gun travel lock is realistically workable (with metal spring). Chassis interior sections are same as the real vehicle. Precision photo-etched parts are included.
