Airfix Aircraft 1/72 Martin B26C Marauder WWII Bomber Kit
The relatively high take-off and landing speed of the new Martin B-26 Marauder posed several significant challenges for pilots converting to the aircraft, with a spate of early accidents earning the Marauder the unfortunate nickname of ‘Widowmaker’. Following a number of design modifications and a pilot re-training program, the Marauder soon revealed itself to be an exceptional medium bomber and went on to post the lowest combat loss rates of any USAAF bomber of WWII. It is great to see this classic Airfix kit back in the range.
