Airfix Military 1/76 Churchill Crocodile Flamethrower Tank Kit
The Churchill Crocodile was a flame-thrower tank equipped with a trailer carrying inflammable liquid. In 1943, British military engineers developed the flame-thrower tank model, known as Crocodile, capable of producing a flame that could reach about ten meters in the axis of the vehicle. These flames allowed the Allies to destroy bunkers and any kind of ennemy shelters without having to call the demolition teams of the infantry. The flammable liquid was carried in a trailer towed behind the tank. The type continued to be used after WWII an into the Korean War.?
